[The Sun]

Currently on bail after his arrest on drugs offences, Deep Ng was filming on his last day of location shots for "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" yesterday, where his character escapes a prison sentence and he seemed in especially high spirits.

At around 8 am yesterday, family of three - Deep, Tavia Yeung and Liu Kai Chi were filming in Ap Liu Street where Deep, who plays a triad boss in the show, was flanked by a few well built men and showing some prowess. Even though it was quite early in the morning, Deep seemed quite spritely and was busy discussing the script with the director before filming, then checking his expressions with Tavia as he became absorbed in his work. Having evaded the press earlier, he seemed in a better mood and displayed a friendlier attitude towards the press, explaining about his role: "The character is not bad at heart and is not a nasty person, but he was stupid enough to follow the wrong path so he manages to evade prison in the end." Deep also revealed that he had filmed the handcuffing scenes earlier and says: "I don't mind, the show only reflects real life."

Since Deep's incident, there has been a lot of revelations that drugs use is rife among the showbiz circles and when asked if the cases were linked, he says with reservation: "I am still a newcomer, I don't have such a big influence yet and I wouldn't be able to make the police take action. If there is a problem, then it is down to the individual. (Have you been in touch with your 'peer' Roy Chow?) No, we each have our own problems." Deep indicates that his emotions have settled down now and thanks once again those who support him. Also, the producer Wong Wai Sing was asked if the script had been changed as a result of this and he replied: "No, the script was like this all along and has not been changed."
