Joe Ma's wife Cheung Yau Lan graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a PhD in Social Sciences yesterday. Although Joe has been busy working, he still took time out to watch the ceremony and filmed the special moment with his DV camera. Dressed casually in a shirt and jeans, Joe was very recognisable but watched proudly in the two hour ceremony. Later when contacted by the reporters, he did not want to say too much about his family, but he will not be able to celebrate with her that evening because he will be working until three in the morning. He also asked the press not to publish pictures of his son.
