Charmaine Sheh and Roger Kwok together with the three winners of the Miss Chinese Universe pageant and TVB executive Mrs Li Hau Wo took part as guests of honour at a store opening for a jewellers, who are also one of TVB's major sponsors. At the event, Charmaine wore a set of diamonds worth $4 million and almost outshone Mrs Li. Even though the jewels were lent by the jewellers, Charmaine still received her lucky packet and a diamond necklace for her efforts.

It turns out that Charmaine already has a good relationship with this jewellery company as they lent her a set of three million dollar diamonds for the Sales Presentation and have not set a limit on the amount they will be lending her for the anniversary. However, her outfit for the evening is still not completed so she has not yet been to choose her accessories. Talking of the comparisons that all the female artistes will be making on the night, with values from several million to tens of millions of dollars, Charmaine says that expensive jewellery may not be the best because it all depends on whether it matches the outfit and brings out the look. Talking of her catching the attention at the Sales Presentation with her backless dress, will she be as sexy at the Anniversary Celebration? Charmaine laughs that you will have to wait and see.

Also, with Charmaine and Roger both being nominated for awards on the evening and them both appearing at such a high profile sponsor's event, is this perhaps an indication that they will win the top male and female awards on the evening? Charmaine says: "I hope so! There is a lot of competition for the awards every year and of course I have confidence in myself, but I feel I have a disadvantage with 'Point of No Return' still being aired."

Roger replies without hesitation: "Yes, there is a chance!" As for the news that Francis Ng thinks he deserves the award, Roger returns the favour by saying that Francis' pilot look is very dashing.

Among all the competition, who does he see as his biggest threat? Roger says it is Adam Cheng: "But we don't know if he has time to come and accept his award at the moment! All the nominees have been working hard through the whole year and everyone should be in with a chance to win. (There are rumours you have been selected internally to win.) This award is down to votes from viewers and the criteria for each award is different, so as artistes we cannot say whether we agree or not with the result, if you are given it, then just be happy!"

Roger was met with the opening ceremony MC Lai Man Cheuk accidentally referring to him as "Miss Kwok Chun On" that made him laugh as he says this is the first time he has been called a 'miss', maybe the MC was just too excited. With the effects of 'Ah Wong', Roger has guest starred at many openings including hotpot restaurants and shoe shops, but this is the first time he has opened a jewellers.
